So here I am, my long thirty year dream of seeing a rocket launch is almost at hand! Welcome to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex!

Queuing already! It is launch day, so I expect it to be packed. Bit overcast at the moment, but clearing up later.

First thing you see when you get in is the Rocket Garden. A lovely collection of some of the first and original rockets that went up into space. Wow.

At the back there is the actual Apollo 7 rocket. "I have Goose bumps people"

Going to head to the Saturn V center before it gets too busy, also to see what the launch viewing area is like compared to over here in the visitor complex.

Man, that Saturn V is one big muttha! Man, that's mental. Don't forget there are more vids and pics in the other folders. There's a little tour here for this baby. You enter the actual launch room where they launched this baby. They do a three minute rerun of the actual commentary. And when the countdown hits zero, the room literary shakes, and the sound..! Wow, that was awesome.

After checking out the launch view from up here, I'm gonna pay the extra $20 for this viewing. From here you can see the launch pad ( where back at the center there is a row of trees blocking the view, so you wouldn't even know which direction to look).

Back to the main center, I got my ticket. Then wandered around seeing the shuttle Atlanta and their tour.

Probably my favourite space craft, the shuttle.

On to the launch. Man, I'm fucking nervous!! Skies have cleared, still a bit windy, but they have given permission to fuel up.

Count down has begun.

And..

Oh, my, god.

I'm crying...

Rewind rewind!

I can't say what I want, or describe what that was truly like.

I am in awe.
