So far, not to bad. But i did notice something the other night that i never noticed before. Whether it has just physically manifested or not is unknown, but it is here. In waiting for the bus from Roswell, at six in the evening, the temperature dropped and my hands (as always the first to go) got cold. Cold to the point where i began to lose my grip in my right hand. Nothing new there really. I have been suffering this problem for a few years now, especially in the cold. I just put it down to age and the fact i work with my hands a lot. Coupled with golfers elbow and RSI, it was a culmination of it all. But then i noticed a physical appearance. Or rather, the lack of physicality.

Left hand, in comparison to right hand...

Notice the area between thumb and index finger? The hollowed out area? Atrophy of the nerves and tendons of sorts i guess. I know that the thumb relies on three tendons. Now, which ones are the problem? Still, quite disturbed me when i saw it.

Ok, lets backtrack to work, as that was when it first came into 'being'. About five years ago, i noticed that my elbow hurt, followed a year later with severe pain. I mean pain to the point where i wish i could have cut my arm off! It was bad, yet at work it was ok. It only happened on the bus ride home and when i woke up. Relaxed, i guess. A year or so after that i got pins and needles in my hand. This was when i realised that not only was it getting worse, it was expanding. Then there was severe pain in my hand, so i bought one of them copper magnetic bracelets. That helped my hand, but i knew that this was all down to repetitive strain injury. Gripping a screwdriver for eight years and doing up/undoing screws. On top of the fourteen years of welding and having my arms in a bent position all the time (the origin of my golfers elbow), i knew i was fucked. Another year, and i couldn't even grip things at work. And then it encompassed my shoulder too! Game over!!! Time to quit work and look after myself before it became too permanent.

Thats why im here. And not there. So, after a bit of research, i came up with this.

That would be the one then: the Ulnar Nerve. From shoulder down to fingers.

Now i know what it is, i need to fix it. If it can be fixed...
