What a shit ride in. Two hours in a goddamn shuttle bus! It's a shuttle bus, not a bus bus! And to prove what I'm saying, it broke down half hour from the end of our journey. That driver tortured that bus. Anyway, transferred to another bus within fifteen minutes and made train station with ten minutes to spare. Train journey was pretty cool. The carriage was tall, and had windows in the roof so you could see the mountains as we passed through the valley, following the river.

Got to the main site where i found myself on my own and wandering aimlessly, not even knowing what or where i should be going. Bloody Peru Hop. Found the main square and what looked like the entrance to the site.

Then, i heard my name being called. And again. I turned to find some guy walking around with a board of names, like someone meeting you at the airport. I said that is me, and within twenty minutes, the group was re-gathered. Seven of us in total. We were introduced to our guide and headed to the bus station.

A ten minute ride up the mountain side. I had an aisle seat so wasn't able to get any pics, but wow, what scenery. This is jungle. We disembarked at the top, had a ten minute piss stop, and headed into the site.

The climb up the steps was hard work - all cobbled and flagstones set at various heights. The guide stopped us every five minutes to catch our breath, and gave a talk about the mountains etc. We continued up and up, flanked by numerous mountains topped with wispy clouds.

We came across the first sign of the city, before continuing on and upward. Then we turned a corner:

Goddamn!!

You have to be here to grasp it all.

Insane and breathtaking at the same time.

I leave the rest up to your imagination. After all, i paid for this ticket. Get your own!!

More vids and pics, you know where.
