Tried to tack down a doctor or health centre to get a yellow fever vaccination, but as it was the weekend they were all shut. I decided to head back to Buenos Aires, as Argentina was not on the yellow fever list. So booked a bus. In the meantime, i just got drunk as i was still pissed off and shell shocked! After three nights in a slum area of Sao Paulo, i headed back south.

The bus journey started off at night, leaving at nine in the evening. Got about an hours kip. The bus company (JBL) was very decent. It stopped so we could get off and have breakfast and lunch, even dinner. About midnight on the second day the guy came around and collected our passports/ID and letter of entry. That was it. We reached the border at about six am, and i was expecting at least a request for us to get off with our luggage, but nope, we were straight through. We got into Buenos Aires at three in the afternoon. That was actually a decent bus ride. My head was on a mission, so grabbed a six pack and went online for flights to Cape Town. And i found one. It was pretty much half the price of all others and operated by one airline - United. and it left tomorrow. I looked at other dates, some over a week ahead, but this was the only one at that price. I slept on it.

The next day i did more research. Argentina was not on the yellow fever list, and South Africa only needed a certificate if you were flying from a country that was on that list. Like Brazil was. So i took a gamble and bought the ticket. If this failed, i would head back to San Pedro for a job!!
